Records withdrawal if deposited by an individual

You may only withdraw records from East Sussex Record Office if:

  • you are the original depositor
  • the original depositor has died and you have inherited these records
  • you represent the depositor and have a letter of authorisation.

To request your records, complete the withdrawal of archives by depositor form (attached below).

You will need to confirm the arrangements for withdrawal and collect them from the Record Office by appointment.
