A list of our collections
A list of our collections (also known as holdings) is available and includes all the books, newspapers and periodicals held at East Sussex Record Office and our libraries. These are a good starting point for research.

Areas covered include:
- parish, borough, district and county councils, police , schools, health authorities (including hospitals) and workhouses
- quarter sessions, petty sessions, county courts and coroners
- taxation and rating authorities, vehicle licensing, maritime and river authorities
- manorial, estate and family, solicitors, deeds, businesses, societies and charities
- ecclesiastical parishes, other churches and wills
- maps and plans.
