These tracks along the lines of disused railways are of medium difficulty with some slopes and inconsistencies

Forest Way Country Park

The Country Park stretches 15km along the disused railway line between Groombridge and East Grinstead, and is surrounded by the sights and sounds of the countryside. The track is flat and is usable all year round. See our page on Forest Way Country Park.

Bus: 291 stops at East Grinstead, Forest Row, Hartfield and Groombridge

The Cuckoo Trail

The trail runs along a disused railway line, between Polegate and Heathfield. The trail has a hard surface and the section between Polegate and Hailsham is tarmac. See our page on the Cuckoo Trail.

  • Car parking with good disabled access at Hailsham, Horam and Heathfield.
