Ditchling Common Country Park
This large country park shows the stages of ecological succession from grassland to woodland. The 750 metre trail of medium difficulty undulates slightly but has a consistent crushed stone surface.
It passes through varied habitats and around a large pond where there is a disabled fishing platform. There are surfaced paths to a picnic area which has tables for wheelchair users.

High and Over, near Seaford
Three separate trails (total 500 metres) provide views of the Cuckmere Valley with the sea in the distance.

Lewes Railway Land
A 500 metre surfaced path leads to a birdhide in an old signal box. This is open on certain days of the week or by arrangement, but has restricted door width. The path goes beside the former railway sidings on a raised bank. The area is rich with wildflowers in summer. The reserve is very close to the town centre with the main entrance up Railway Lane.

Weir Wood
The reservoir attracts many birds throughout the year. There is a bird hide with two spaces for wheelchairs and a viewing platform with wheelchair access. Both are adjacent to the main car park. See our page on Weir Wood.
