East Sussex Arts Partnership
East Sussex Arts Partnership (ESAP) highlights, promotes and develops the arts in East Sussex, working closely with Arts Council England, South East (ACE) to improve the quality of arts for everyone.
The Partnership has a representative from each council in the county: the three district councils of Lewes, Rother and Wealden; the borough councils of Eastbourne and Hastings, and the County Council.

The Partnership plans, manages and raises external funding for projects including:
Community Touring
There are lots of ways for local groups to promote performance and music in local village or community halls (and for people to access live local arts events):
- Applause
the Partnership works with Applause to provide more opportunities for people to enjoy live performance near to where they live in their own communities.
- Chalkfoot Theatre Arts
a local touring company that holds engaging creative experiences at non-theatre venues including village halls, schools and open air sites.
- The Rude Mechanical Theatre Company
an Eastbourne-based touring company committed to working outdoors and taking theatre into small rural communities.
- My Events
a community events website allowing community groups to publicise their performances to a wider audience. The website has an online box office (using Google checkout) that festivals and small promoters can use to sell tickets for their events.
Young people and contemporary culture
Access All Areas (the East Sussex Festival of Youth Arts) gives young people the opportunity to platform their work, run workshops, learn new skills and meet other young performers from across the county.
The annual 3-day event is held at the beautiful De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill, with the full support of the venue's professional staff, facilities and partners (including the BBC):
Spoken and written word
Lewes Live Literature manages ESAP's spoken and written word programme across the county.
Events have included:
- workshops, events and performances with young people in schools and community settings
- poets inspired by the ethnographic collections at Hastings Museum and words and images produced with the Polish community in Eastbourne.
