Description of art project
'Bus Stop Billboards' was a street-based project for young people. Art was displayed at seven sites on a route connecting North Langney to the Towner Art Gallery in Old Town, Eastbourne.
The bus stop displays were part of 'Towner on the Town' – an outreach programme which began in 2000. This project uses the resources of the Towner Art Gallery to engage and inspire those most at risk within the community, including young people, older people and those within the criminal justice system.
Organisations and funding
'Towner on the Town in Shinewater' involved the East Sussex Youth Development Service and the Causeway School.
