Description of art project

For two miles along the seafront of Hastings and St Leonards, coloured light is projected down the lamp posts.

Artists Kate Adams and Esther Rolinson were commissioned to select the colour sequence which was installed by lighting designers Sutton Vane.

'Sticks of Rock' complements 'Stream' – seven tall lighted columns on the West St Leonards promenade – with waves of light moving from column to column.

A permanent piece completed in 2003.
