Your district or borough council organises the collection of your rubbish. They are also responsible for litter clearance, providing kerbside or doorstep recycling collections, and for providing recycling points often located in supermarket car parks.

East Sussex County Council is responsible for arranging disposal of the rubbish collected by the district and borough councils.
We also provide 12 household waste recycling sites (HWRS), where you can take larger or bulky items such as green garden waste, furniture and cardboard, for recycling or disposal.
