Household waste recycling sites (HWRS) – or ‘tips' – accept bulky items of rubbish such as fridges, cardboard and green garden waste, free of charge. There are 12 sites around the county.

Recycling points

Recycling points are provided by your district and borough council, and are often found in public or supermarket car parks. Various materials such as glass, paper, cans, plastic bottles and textiles can be recycled here.

Electrical and hazardous waste

Whether its small items such as toasters or larger items such as washing machines all electrical waste can be recycled. Hazardous waste such as flurescent tubes and computers are accepted by most recycling sites and some charities.
