Household waste recycling sites (HWRS) otherwise known as the tip or the dump, accept bulky items of rubbish from home – such as fridges, cardboard and green garden waste – free of charge. There are 12 sites around the county. For further details on the HWRS see map of HWRS locations.

Recycling points are often found in public or supermarket car parks. Various materials such as glass, paper, cans, plastic bottles and textiles can be recycled here. They are provided by your district or borough council.
