The Local Enterprise Partnership – driving economic development in East Sussex, Kent and Greater Essex
Businesses, local government and other key organisations from East Sussex, Essex, Kent, Medway, Southend and Thurrock are now part of the South East Local Enterprise Partnership (SELEP).
This new type of partnership will, in part, replace the activities of South East England Development Agency (SEEDA).
The partnership's main objective is to help business to grow and to create new jobs. Businesses will drive the partnership, working with local government and the other key partners.
The LEP will focus on actions that will be more effective delivered through the partnership rather than the individual LEP partner areas.
Get more information about the partnership, meeting dates and papers and the latest news on the South East Local Enterprise Partnership website.

We belong to the East Sussex Strategic Partnership, which represents over 90 organisations across the county working together to sustain and improve the economy and quality of life in the local area. To find out more, see:
Economic development strategy
We've developed a local economic assessment of the county which will provide evidence for a new Economic Development Strategy to be published in 2012. Both documents will be used to inform the work of the LEP.
