A New Approach to Development Contributions (supplementary planning guidance)

We provide infrastructure such as roads and transport for development in East Sussex. Developers contribute some of the funding for this infrastructure.

For most of our services, we only seek contributions for developments of 15 dwellings or more. However, there is no minimum threshold for:

  • contributions towards transport measures
  • Local Sustainable Accessibility Improvement Contributions (LSAICs) from new housing.

Download the report and minutes from the Lead Member for Transport and Environment meeting – Proposal to exempt Local Sustainable Accessibility Improvement Contributions from the interim threshold of 15 dwellings.
