What consultation will be carried out on the application?
In August 2008, an addendum to the Environmental Statement was advertised, plus notification that the proposal was a departure from the Development Plan. The closing date for comments on this was 29 August 2008.
Further information on nature conservation in relation to the Environmental Statement has also been received. This was advertised on 31 October 2008. The closing date for comments was 21 November 2008.

Previous consultation
The application for the link road was advertised in local newspapers on 25 May 2007 and notices were posted at the site. Local residents near the proposed route of the link road were directly notified of the application.
There was a six week public consultation in May 2007. Local residents were able to send their comments to the County Council.
There was also consultation with Rother District Council, Hastings Borough Council and the Environment Agency, as well as Crowhurst Parish Council and other organisations.
The closing date for public comments was 6 July 2007.
