Beach users
- Barbecues are permitted on the beach but not on the dunes. You should ask for permission in advance from Rother District Council .
- Toilets are located at the main car parks.
- Disabled parking and facilities are available at the main central car park, which has the best access onto the beach area.
Please do:
- keep to the marked paths over the dunes. They're numbered to help you find your way around.
- leave fences alone, as they are vital for flood defence and to trap wind-blown sand
- take your litter home
- check tide times on the BBC website as the as the sea travels out up to half a mile from the main beach. Be careful of incoming tide.
Please don't:
- light fires or camp on the dunes or beach
- use inflatables when orange flags are flying
- swim when red flags are flying
- damage the plants, especially the roots as they help stabilise the sand and provide a habitat for wildlife
- this is not a nudist beach.
