School visits
Guidelines have been developed to provide helpful and practical advice to governing bodies, head teachers and teachers in the organisation of school visits. You can find detailed information about these guidelines from the Teachernet website, developed by the Department of Children, Schools and Families (formerly DfES). Educational visits give children and young people a valuable opportunity to develop their learning skills outside of the classroom. The safety and welfare of the children, during these visits, is the main priority of teachers and all measures are taken to ensure pupils are not put at risk.
