Admissions arrangements for primary and secondary community and voluntary controlled (state) schools for 2011-12 are set out in the circular below.

Reception classes

There is an important change for children joining Reception classes in September 2011 in that they must be offered a full time place:

Others – voluntary aided (church) or trust schools, and academies

These schools each have their own admissions criteria. These are described in the relevant section of the main Admissions booklet, or set out in detail in the pdfs below.

Consultation

These admissions arrangements were previously consulted on for a minimum of 8 weeks between 1 November 2009 and 1 March 2010.

We then asked for objections to any of these admissions arrangements to be sent to the Schools Adjudicator by 31 July 2010.
