Building Schools for the Future

Improving primary school buildings

Completed projects

Tideway School re-development

Tideway School was re-built and opened February 2009, after an arson attack in 2005. Find out about the Tideway School redevelopment.

Rye Primary School and Children's Centre

In September 2008, a new primary school and Children's Centre opened in Rye. The school replaced Tilling Green Infant School and the Freda Gardham Community School and cost £6 million.

Hailsham schools refurbishments

Two Hailsham schools have been extended and rebuilt, funded by Tesco, through a deal with East Sussex County Council.
