Financial help for students who started courses before 2006
You will be considered as a student starting before 2006 if you:
- took a gap year in 2005/2006 and by 1 August 2005 you received confirmation of your deferred place for 2006/2007 from a publicly funded university or college
- were not able to take up your intended 2005/2006 place at a publicly funded university or college because of A-level results which you have successfully appealed against and are started in 2006/2007 instead
- started your current course before September 2006 or have transferred from a course that started before then
- are starting an ‘end-on’ degree course after completing a Foundation Degree, Higher National Certificate (HNC), Higher National Diploma (HND) or Diploma of Higher Education course in 2006/2007.
