Financial help for higher education (HE)
From early 2009, a new service, Student Finance England, is handling all enquiries and applications from students for financial help. Their online service is provided through Direct Gov, the main UK government website.
Student Finance England is a ‘one stop shop’ where:
- you can apply for student finance (at the same time as making your UCAS application, if you want to, so you only have to enter your details once)
- you can calculate how much financial help you can get
- parents and family members can enter details in support of an application.
- you can manage your student finance account online.
