Some jobs require specific qualifications, such as teaching. Other qualifications show you have skills to get on in work and life in general, such as reading and writing, working with numbers or using computers.

- Anyone can take a courses from the University of Sussex – whether you've done no studying since leaving school or you already have a degree and want to study further. These courses are specially designed for part-time students and you can collect credits towards a degree.
