Tutor advice and resources

How to become an adult education tutor in East Sussex

Tutors are recruited and employed by adult education and further education colleges – not our adult education team – so you will need to contact the relevant college for advice on becoming a tutor.

Criminal Records Bureau check

A Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check will be needed for all tutors, carers and other workers who help with projects funded by the local authority which involve working with children, young people and vulnerable adults.

Discussion groups

You can share expertise and good practice with other tutors using the online discussion group at Tutortools Sussex.
