Poetry Competition 2006

Boost for Newhaven

Under 12s must have car safety seats

Children under 12 years old or less than 4 foot 5 inches tall must use car safety seats, according to a new law that came into force on 18 September. Parents risk a fine or a police caution if their children are not in the correct seat. Find out more in our press releases section.

Grants for a greener community

Schools and community groups in East Sussex who think up initiatives to reduce rubbish can get a one-off grant of up to £500. Find out more in our press releases section.

New children’s centres opening

A total of 18 new children’s centres will be opening across the county in the next two years, giving access to health services, family support, early education services and childcare for another 13,000 children. Find out more in our press releases section.
