Make a difference to a young person’s life by acting as a mentor or helping out at a local club.

Volunteer to help young offenders
Train to become an appropriate adult and accompany a young person while they are being interviewed by the police.
Respite care for children with a disability
We are looking for people with the energy, time and commitment to provide respite care – previous experience children with a disability is not essential.
Mentoring
Support young people leaving our care. Mentoring provides the young person with a contact person in the community who can spend a few hours a week helping and supporting them.
School crossing patrols
Helping children cross the road safely on their way to and from school.
Walking bus
Escort your child and their friends on the way to school. At least two volunteer parents accompany the walking bus as a ‘driver’ and ‘conductor’. Each bus also has reserve volunteers.
Road awareness for children
Volunteers are needed to help with pedestrian and cycle training.

Help disadvantaged children develop a love of reading and learning – working in schools but outside the classroom.
