Volunteering with people with disabilities

There are a variety of volunteering opportunities available – from offering vital office administration support to helping run social groups. Use the links below to find out more.

Volunteering in libraries
Deliver books to people who have difficulties getting to a library.
Youthability (run through Care for the Carers)
A leisure and social club for young people with any kind of disability, aged from 13 to 30, who live in the Wealden area. If you would like to help, contact Care for the Carers.
East Sussex Disability Association
Volunteering opportunities include helping to run local groups and offering support in the office.
East Sussex Association for the Blind
Volunteers are needed to help run social groups and organise activities. They also need people to make home visits to help people decide what equipment they need to help them be more independent.
Volunteering for Homecall
Volunteers are needed to visit and support blind and partially sighted people in their homes.
