From acting as a school governor to becoming a magistrate, there are a number of ways that you can volunteer in the community. Use the links below to find out more.

Becoming a magistrate
People from all walks of life are encouraged to apply. If you can give a minimum of 26 half-days per year why not consider this fascinating and challenging role.
Apply to be a volunteer purchaser
Volunteers aged 14 to 16 1/2 are needed to help us check that businesses aren’t selling age-restricted goods to underage customers.
Rotary Clubs
This global network of clubs gets involved with a variety of community projects. Membership is by invitation only, so contact your local club if you want to join.
Lions Clubs
International group of both men and women. Community projects include fundraising events to help support local charities and helping families in distress.
Women’s Institute
Take part in a wide range of activities and campaign on issues that affect your community.
