Consumer direct
Wherever you live in the South East, contact Consumer Direct first for advice about your consumer problem. They will ask Trading Standards to intervene on your behalf if direct action is required.

Their website contains templates of complaint letters and fact sheets about your consumer rights. This online and telephone advice service is supported by the Department of Trade and Industry.
Rip-off Tip-off
From bogus offers to cowboy builders, if you think someone is trying to rip-off the public then this is the website to report them on. Includes a section about typical cons.
