East Sussex Register Office
East Sussex Register Office is situated in the imposing Town Hall in Eastbourne. A traditional Victorian style building, it was built in 1887 and offers a high standard of accommodation and service to everyone attending your wedding. The front entrance, with its wide stone steps and magnificent portico, leads into the pillared entrance hall.

Mayor’s Reception Room
The circular Mayor’s Reception Room is on the first floor and is decorated in a traditional style with arrangements of flowers. It accommodates a maximum of 35 guests, mainly standing, but is particularly well suited to the smaller, more intimate wedding party.
A grand oak panelled staircase and a beautiful stained-glass window on the half landing provide an excellent backdrop for your wedding photographs. There is a small lift to the first floor for those who have difficulties managing the stairs. It can accommodate small non-motorised wheelchairs.

The Court Room
The Court Room is situated on the ground floor of Eastbourne’s Victorian Town Hall. You enter via stone steps and through a pillared hallway with original terrazzo flooring.
The Court Room is decorated in blue and cream with the two elaborate chandeliers. There is seating for up to 60 guests and a central dais where the ceremony takes place. On the dais are seats for the bride and groom, two pedestals of silk and dried flowers and the Registrar’s table where the register is signed.
To personalise your ceremony you are free to choose readings and music. Alternatively you can use your own musicians. We are ready to discuss your individual needs and how formal or informal a ceremony you require.
Please note that this room is not available at all times, it can generally only be used for weddings on Fridays and Saturdays. Parking is available in the car park on Saturdays.
