Fees for marriage ceremonies

All fees should be paid at least one month in advance unless specified.

Small register office weddings

These weddings are held on Monday to Fridays only. They take place in the Registrars Office at Lewes, Hastings, Eastbourne or Crowborough. Maximum size is six people.

  • £40 per couple.

Fees should be paid to the Registrar on the day of your marriage.

Weddings held in register office marriage rooms

For weddings taking place before 1 October 2008

  • Monday to Thursday – £45
  • Friday – £90
  • Saturday – £140
  • Sunday or public holiday – £270

For weddings taking place after 1 October 2008

  • Monday to Thursday – £48
  • Friday – £95
  • Saturday – £150
  • Sunday or public holiday – £285

Weddings held at the Court Room, Eastbourne

For weddings taking place before 1 October 2008

  • Saturday – £190
  • Sunday or public holiday – £320

For weddings taking place after 1 October 2008

  • Friday – £145
  • Saturday – £200
  • Sunday or public holiday – £335

The Court Room within East Sussex Register Office holds up to 60 guests and can accommodate up to 100.

  • Sundays and public holidays – £430

For weddings taking place after 1 October 2008

  • Monday to Friday – £375
  • Saturday – £395
  • Sundays and public holidays – £450
