Poetry competition 2007 – The Garden Shed, by Luke Crisford

Runner up (under 11 years category)

When the sun is blaring down outside
And the baby is crying because she wants a biscuit
And mum is shouting at everyone inside for not taking off their shoes.
So I go out and search for a place in the quiet with no shouting and no crying.
My face is beaming when I find the perfect place
Away from the sun, the baby and Mum.
The place is the big garden shed.
