How to submit your photos

You can submit up to three photos. All entries should be sent to us either attached by email or as prints. Don't forget to complete the entry form and send/email this with your photographs. If your photography includes people who are actively taking part in the photo, you will need to get their signed permission. See the consent form on page 2 of the entry form.

Format of photographs

If you are emailing digital photos to us, please ensure they are a high quality jpeg, up to 10MB, approximately 2500 x 3500 pixels.

If you are sending prints, these should be a minimum size 5” x 7” and a maximum size 10”x 8”, and can be colour or black and white.

Copyright and how your photographs will be displayed

All entries must be your original work. By entering the competition, you warrant that you have taken the picture yourself, and that you have got permission from people featured in the photographs that the photographs may be entered into the competition. (See page 2 of the entry form.)

By entering the competition, you grant East Sussex County Council a licence giving the right to use and reproduce the images at any time and for any purpose for up to two years, from September 2010. For example, we may use the images in County Council leaflets or publications.

Winning entries will be published on the East Sussex County Council website, on the Flickr website, and in Your County magazine. There will also be a private viewing for winners, their families and friends, and a public display at one of the main libraries in East Sussex (details to be confirmed).

East Sussex County Council will endeavour to acknowledge the photographer but is not obliged to do so.

Photographic prints can only be returned if you include a stamped addressed envelope with your entry.

East Sussex County Council accepts no liability for loss or damage caused to the entries and no responsibility for incomplete or delayed entries, and the judge's decision will be final.
