Photography competition 2010
This year's photography competition closes on 5 September
To celebrate the United Nations' International Year of Biodiversity, we are launching our 5th annual photography competition.
We want you to send us photographs on the theme of Hidden Landscapes. You can interpret this in any way you wish. You may choose to photograph the natural landscape, urban environment, people around you, or you may prefer to represent the theme in a more abstract way.
Whatever you choose, we want your photograph to make us look closely at what we are seeing, and to challenge our perceptions.
Once you have decided what to photograph, take a step back and look again at your subject. Move your camera, change the settings, take your photographs at different times of day. Experiment with different styles and subjects. Consider the colour, shape and form of your photograph.
There are 3 categories of entry
- 16 years and over
- 11 to 15 years
- under 11 years
Prizes
Prizes include vouchers, printing and magazine subscriptions. Thanks to our sponsors Spectrum, HA Baker, Tesco and GMC Group.
Closing date
The competition runs from 26 May to 12 noon on 5 September 2010.
