Older people’s forum

There are seven older people's forums where you can get involved in service development and have your say:

  • Eastbourne Seniors' Forum
  • Hastings and St Leonards Seniors’ Forum
  • Lewes and District Coalition of Older People
  • Meridian and Coastal Downs Mature Citizens' Forum
  • Rother Seniors’ Forum
  • Seaford Seniors’ Forum
  • Wealden Senior Citizens’ Partnership.
Membership of the forums is open to anyone over 50 who lives in the local area. Each forum is led by a committee of members. Some forums have formed special interest groups (such as transport, health and well-being) that reflect the concerns of their local members.

Getting involved

There are many ways older people can become more involved in shaping services, for example:

  • engagement in decision-making to create better local government for older people
  • involvement in service and policy development
  • working directly with older people to empower them to be active members of the community.

If you want to get involved in a local forum, please contact us, details below.
