If you are having trouble coping with your housing, are at risk of losing your home, or already homeless, there are services to help you.
This includes help to give you the skills you need to manage your housing issues – from debts and benefits, landlords and neighbours, to getting help to manage your mental health or substance misuse.
Don't put it off – it's never too soon to ask for help if you think you need it.
The Supporting People programme funds three housing support services to help you in your own home, depending on your situation.
‘Home Works' and ‘STEPS' offer short term support (usually up to a year) to help you stay living independently if you:
- are at risk of losing your home for reasons such as domestic violence, relationship breakdown, health issues.
- are already homeless or living a in B&B or hostel
- are living in poor quality or unsuitable accommodation.
‘Reconnect' offers longer term help for people with a disability or other long term needs.
