Community Partnership Finance programme

LATEST: the final closing date for applications to this fund is 30 April 2008.

Small voluntary and community organisations in East Sussex can apply for awards for up to £5,000 ('seedcorn funding') for new initiatives that meet our strategic priorities (as outlined in the Council Plan).

Applications will be encouraged from small voluntary and community organisations wanting to:

  • pilot innovative approaches to service delivery
  • pilot the delivery of a local service to a wider geographical area
  • develop new approaches to user involvement.

Traditionally voluntary and community organisations have been able to attract funding for projects, but have found it difficult to find funding towards their operating costs. One of the programme’s priorities is to bridge that funding gap, by allowing these organisations to apply for a proportion of the funding they require to keep the organisation operating.

This funding is open to organisations that work across the entire county or a significant proportion. However it is also open to those who operate in one borough or district, but wish to work collaboratively with an organisation in another geographical area delivering a similar activity or service.

Hastings Voluntary Action will be administering the seedcorn fund on behalf of the County Council.

For further information and application details call them on on 01424 444010 or visit the Seedcorn fund Hastings Voluntary Action website
