Doing your own research

Ask us to search for funding for you

If you are a voluntary or community group or a public body based in East Sussex, our External Funding team can conduct a search for you using a comprehensive database of UK, Lottery and European Union grants and awards. (If your organisation is based in Brighton or Hove, please see the Brighton & Hove City Council website.)

The grants and awards database includes information on funders' priorities, the amount of funding available, eligibility and contact details. Please note that this service is available only for projects or organisations that are based in East Sussex.

Searches can normally be completed within five days. Once we have completed your search, we will send you a report of information about potential funding. It is then up to you to approach the funders and to complete application forms. Although we cannot complete application forms for you, we will be happy to check the content before you submit it, to help maximise the possibility of a successful application.

If you would like us to carry out a funding search for you, please complete the following form:

We cannot carry out searches without this as it gives us basic information in order to carry out a proper search.
