Foot and mouth disease

The Temporary Control Zone (TCZ) established on 15 October at Beckley, north-west of Rye, has been lifted.

As a preventative measure animal keepers should continue to practice the highest standards of biosecurity, remain vigilant for disease and report any suspicions immediately. All livestock owners should continue to examine their livestock twice a day.
