Emergency accommodation

Housing options

If you cannot live in your home because of violence or the threat of violence then you are considered homeless and your local authority housing department has a legal duty to give you advice and find you secure temporary accommodation. You have the same rights whether you own your home or it is rented from the council, a housing association or a private landlord.
