If you run a business in East Sussex, you can get support to reduce its environmental impact and increase profits.

Business Excellence Through Resource Efficiency (BETRE)

BETRE provides free, practical and independent advice to local small and medium-sized businesses on how to reduce waste, save on energy bills and improve their carbon footprint.

BETRE is part of the Low Carbon Essentials (LCE) programme, for businesses in the South East. The programme offers free services such as:

  • Low Carbon Environmental Reviews
  • Initial feasibility reviews for renewable energy installations
  • workshops on reducing use and cost of energy, water and waste
  • Green Business Networks.

Over the last eight years BETRE has helped over 1,100 local businesses make savings on waste, energy and water costs, totalling over £4.8m.

Carbon Trust

The Carbon Trust works with organisations to reduce carbon emissions and develop commercial low carbon technologies.

Contact the Carbon Trust to:

  • calculate your company's carbon footprint
  • apply for a survey or a loan
  • order posters for your office.
