Early Years, Childcare and Extended Schools Service (East Sussex County Council)
The Early Years, Childcare and Extended Schools Service (EYCESS) is responsible for many duties, including:
•helping both parents and new and existing childcare providers
•improving the quality of childcare in the county, making it more affordable and accessible
•proving Children’s Centres throughout the county
•providing information on childcare facilities and services within East Sussex
•recruiting and training childcare providers.

Family Information Service (East Sussex County Council)
We provide up-to-date information and advice on all childcare facilities, parenting and family support, and services for children throughout East Sussex. This confidential service is free to all parents and carers. We are open from 8.30am to 6pm every weekday, except Wednesdays when it is open from 9am to 4.30pm. We are also open on Saturday from 9am to 12.30pm.

Early Years, Childcare and Extended Schools Service - Early Years Education Entitlement (EYEE) (East Sussex County Council)
The Early Years Education Entitlement or EYEE is a government entitlement which provides all eligible three and four year olds attending Ofsted registered pre-school settings in East Sussex a maximum of five 2.5 hour sessions per week. Please be aware that some providers may be taking part in the 15 hour flexible offer pilot.

Early Years, Childcare and Extended Schools Service - Children's Centres (East Sussex County Council)
Children’s Centres provide a range of services to support families with children up to five years old. These include early education, health services and childcare.
The Early Years Commissioning Team are responsible for the development and management of Children's Centres across the county.
