Website statistics April 2010 to September 2010

From July to September 2010, 9,500 transactions or interactions were recorded through this website

If we use the figures provided by SOCITM in Better Connected 2010, these online transactions are likely to have cost the Council just over £3,700. If a similar number of requests for documents, payments, information and newsletters were conducted on the phone, the same number of queries would cost over £30,000 or in a face to face setting, in excess of £78,000.

Maintaining the quality of this website is a key priority for the Web Services Team. We monitor feedback on our site through regular focus groups and usability reviews. We are always interested in hearing feedback on the website and ideas for improvements so if you would like to become a member of a future review group, please send an email to webstaff@eastsussex.gov.uk.

Seasonal variation across the most popular sections

The outbreak of the heat wave that happened in July this year along with schools finishing summer term leading visitors to visit our Leisure and Tourism pages.

The Education and Learning pages had generated a predicted spike in traffic between August and September in preparation for the school term. Elsewhere, Your Council pages had been gathering attention in the last 6 months due to the new coalition Government and interest in spending cuts.

The job vacancies section has been showing a slight decline since April with the expected dips during the summer holiday and rise heading into September.
